Can I get it Cheaper if you do it tommorow ?
Amid the current financial climate, i'm constantly asked if I can provide any discount to hard pressed customers, at VRD Assist we always try to make it as affordable as possible, after all not only do you have to pay to get the wrong fuel out of your tank, you also have to replace the fuel you've just wasted and i've no doubt that hurts.
Feel like ive been trapped in a trouser press.
Among the jobs we did yesterday, I got called out to a two door Mercedes Coupe in the dark last night, twin fuel tanks accesed via the ususal place, under the back seat, problem is a two door merc coupe has back seats which fold up towards you rather than coming out all together like other mercs so your there stuck between the front seats and the back seat folded up towards you accessing the fuel tanks via the sender units under the back seats, needless to say by the time i'd finished,I felt like I'd been folded in two and placed in a trouser press, not good for the back but another happy c
Price Promise
Lots of people getting in touch who have called their breakdown cover suppliers only to find that Misfuelling is not covered by your breakdown cover, although the AA and the RAC will provide a solution, in some cases via there own mobile fuel drain vans, as many have found to there displeasure, we CAN in almost all cases, beat the RAC and the AA on price and in most cases we'll be with you a damn site quicker too. So here's our price buster promise, call us and we will be cheaper than either the AA or the RAC and thats guaranteed.
Do we Really go that far ??!!
Now I'm all for stretching the boundaries and for putting myself out when it comes to helping customers but even I have to admit this might be taking it too far.
Got a call last night from a woman who had put petrol in her diesel car, not a problem I said, give me the details and we'll see what we can do, I almost fell of the chair when she said the car was in NAMIBIA, Now I know were good but Namibia in under an hour !! No-ones that good.
New Anti Mis-fuel device on Ford's
Ford have recently introduced a new Anti Misfuelling device on some of the new Ford range, basically its supposed to be impossible to fill a diesel car with petrol if this device is fitted.
I can safely say after draining the tanks on two Galaxys, one C Max and one Mondeo, it doesnt work.
Back to the drawing board Mr Henry Ford, Oh and if you can just tell your technical team who said a) Its impossible to drain them and b) even if you get it drained its impossible to re-fuel them with a plastic can, their wrong too. I know because ive done it.
